A mid-century style home with a modern twist that is brimming with style – we loved working on this luxury family home with Grayhaus. We were commissioned to provide cabinetry throughout the entire space. The warm, natural tones of the cabinets offset the more structural, industrial elements of the home.

The kitchen is a visual delight and sits proudly on display in the open plan living space of the ground floor. A combined pantry/laundry/mud room space leads from the kitchen into a small study, formal lounge room, dining space and kids lounge room. The upper level includes an additional family room, 3 bedrooms, bathroom and master bedroom with a stunning WIR and ensuite. The areas of the home are tied together nicely by using Polytec Florentine Walnut in Woodmatt finish throughout for the cabinetry.

The kitchen was the star of this full-house fit out with Grayhaus. Contemporary, spacious and full of life, the home is brimming with class and sophistication. The modern kitchen is conveniently located near the indoor and outdoor living areas, perfect for entertaining, with a stunning waterfall Caesarstone benchtop a perfect match for the warm tones of the polished floors. Continuing the contemporary theme, the master bedroom’s walk-in-robe features floor-to-ceiling storage with a mixture of open shelving, hanging space and drawer units to keep everything neat and tidy. A stunning floating vanity in the master ensuite adds to the sense of drama, while the well-appointed laundry space has benchspace aplenty with a handy overhead clothes hanging rail and lots of clever storage solutions.

Spacious and indulgent, this full-house fit out features a huge walk-in wardrobe and another stunning kitchen. Grayhaus builders’ clever design utilises the void above the kitchen to make the space feel extra-large with plenty of air and light. In the master bedroom ensuite, a lovely floating vanity and double basin ensure there is plenty of room for everyone during busy mornings, with a luxurious ‘wet-zone’ for indulgent bathing. Neutral tones throughout give the home a relaxing ambiance while its timeless nature ensures it will be on-trend for many years to come.

Proof that storage doesn’t have to be boring, this stunning entertainment unit combines form and function with a clever hidden television behind sliding panels. The project involved both the entertainment unit and daybed with the intricate design on the panels a stand out aesthetic feature. Constructed from pre-fabricated metal purchased specially for this project, it was powder coated to match the laminate in the colour specified by the clients. The designer of this cabinet is thrilled with the end result as it was made exactly as it was imagined.

Built by Samadhi, a local Brisbane builder, this exquisite family home features a kitchen situated directly above the outdoor plunge pool, allowing the home chef to cook up a storm while watching the action unfold through the stove top window splashback. Gorgeous blue subway tiles in the kitchen really make the space pop, while similar blue subway tiles were also used in the laundry – a great way to tie the house design together. Hamptons-style doors feature in both the kitchen and laundry, for consistency, while the stone incorporated into the kitchen is Caesarstone Frosty Carrina. The client also made great use of Kesseböhmer pantry storage inserts in their kitchen design.

Imagine how wonderful a sunny Saturday morning breakfast would be in this glorious space, boasting Hamptons-style doors, a great appliance nook and the star of the project – the stunning kitchen rangehood. This cabinetry solution was custom designed to meet the clients’ specific needs, and fits seamlessly into the window cavity of this beautiful family kitchen.

A passionate group of creatives was looking for a meeting space that was both functional and inspiring. The star of this project, with shop fittings by The Fitout Studio, was the meeting room. This ‘think tank’ meeting space features bench seating that fits neatly in the corner, finished with a plywood top and an eye-catching plywood table with enough space to let everyone in on the action. The other real feature was the overhead lightboxes in the open-plan work area. The open-plan design allows the kitchen to seamlessly integrate into the office space, with sleek black cabinetry offset against the creamy white walls. This ties in nicely with the black office drawer units underneath the expansive plywood workstation bench. The overhead lightboxes are a striking feature and again make use of the black cabinetry, with the addition of plywood edging providing a subtle and pleasing highlight. The plywood edging on the black cabinetry, a feature used throughout the project, gives a stylish look to the open storage used throughout the office space.

A student study area, boasting a long desk with overhead lights, was a significant feature of this school fit-out project. Designated pigeon holes for each teacher allow students to provide their work to the teacher for marking. The architecture of the space was of particular interest and includes a beautiful large stained-glass window in one of the quiet study areas. This was an extensive project with many student and staff areas, including workspaces, kitchenettes and boardrooms for staff, plus student study areas and a student bathroom.

In this full-house fit-out built by Samadhi, a local Brisbane builder, a beautiful kitchen opens onto a lounge and dining area, which in turn opens onto a gorgeous rear timber deck overlooking the backyard. The modern, clean design of the kitchen makes the area the real star of the two-storey project.

Imagine hosting family festivities in this glorious kitchen, completed just before Christmas. After living for many years with a basic small kitchen, the homeowners craved style and space and their ideas for a dream kitchen eventually turned into reality. Dulux Vivid White two-pack cupboards and doors, teamed with Frosty Carrina Caesarstone benchtops, create a bright workspace, while LED lighting under the overhead cabinets is an eye-catching and functional feature. The waterfall benchtop is a great solution for entertaining or for space for family to gather to eat. This kitchen’s design was big on storage and benchspace, so makes great use of Hafele Le Mans corner cabinet storage solutions and benefits from an abundance of drawer space.

A sleek, modern look has been created throughout this home as part of a whole-house fit-out, resulting in a very well-planned-out space. Working alongside builder Grayhaus, MIVIS provided customised solutions to meet the design brief with respect to both form and function. The kitchen sits in the middle of the open-plan living area within this spacious family home, which means everything is always on show. The butler’s pantry provides the perfect place to keep day-to-day kitchen gadgetry at close reach while also being neatly tucked away out of sight. Step through the black two-pack doorway and all is revealed – the kitchen’s black two-pack doors look like standard pantry doors, but upon opening one door you step right into the hidden butler’s pantry. The other side opens up the hidden integrated fridge. The tiles, veneer and benchtops in many of the bathrooms match and tie this very large family home together in superb fashion.

This apartment kitchen, part of a full-house fit-out, was designed for entertaining, and is situated next to an open-plan dining and living area with great views. The warm kitchen offers a combination of stainless-steel benchtops with built-in sinks and a beautiful island benchtop in the middle – great for entertaining. The kitchen’s most interesting feature is a small laundry behind a cupboard – so well hidden that the door to the laundry looks like just another pantry door.

This full-house fit-out project was all about space, maximising storage and giving the clients the free-flowing living environment they craved, to create a lovely open-plan family home. Nothing says open plan quite like crisp white cabinetry, the 23m benchtop that spans the length of the home, and natural light in spades, as found here. The stone benchtop is crafted from Talostone Calacatta Gold, while the laminate benchtop is Laminex Satin Heartwood. For the kitchen benchtop and the striking 23m-long laminated benchtop that runs the full length of the house, the cabinetry is two-pack Dulux Classic White with sharknose handles. This 23m-long benchtop is a real highlight of the project and incorporates three study nooks, complete with under-bench cupboard and drawer storage for each, expertly hidden underneath a hinged section of the benchtop. This was an interesting feature that enabled a study area for each child, plus a place for their electric keyboard so that the kids could practice their music. In a flash, it could all be hidden simply by closing the hinged section of the bench. This was one of the most unique features that Mivis has ever worked on.
